    Use and description
Prilocaine is a local anesthetic of amide class, and its effect is similar to lidocaine. Prilocaine is characterized by rapid onset of effect, about 10 minutes can play the anesthetic effect, and the aging time is similar to lidocaine, 2.5 to 3 hours.
Prilocaine is mainly used for infiltration anesthesia, nerve block, epidural block, etc. It can also be used for intravenous local anesthesia. When local ANAESthesia is needed, injection of propivacaINE can act ON the surrounding nerve tissue, making it less sensitive to excitability, thereby preventing its excitability. When the nerve tissue is unable to excite, it is unable to transmit signals about pain to act as an anesthetic.
